Hi, I’m Abbie, a Brisbane-based artist working primarily in oil paint.

I’m drawn to things that feel visceral, almost tangible. My work explores food, nature, decay and the beauty in things we don’t always stop to look at. I love painting close-up, highly detailed subjects like fruit, mould and raw meat, focusing on their textures, imperfections and rich colours.

Colour is a huge part of my work. I love deep, intense colours and the way they can make something feel almost alive, or slightly unsettling. A lot of my inspiration comes from travel, markets and the natural process of things changing and decaying.

I want my paintings to pull you in, make you look closely, and leave you feeling something.
