Stone & Flesh is an oil painting inspired by the vibrant fruit markets of Italy. Filled with peaches and other stone fruit, the painting focuses on the rich colours, soft textures and natural imperfections of the fruit.
I wanted to capture the warmth and abundance of an Italian market, with the fruit arranged closely together to create a feeling of richness, colour and summer.
